How does application hosting work?
Your applications are loaded onto a server in our secure
data center. Access the Internet from any computer and log
in through our secure portal. All applications run through
our data center. There’s nothing to download or upload.
All files are stored centrally so you will have the true
virtual desktop environment.
Is my data secure when it’s hosted on the
Internet?
Giving up control of your data to an external one sounds
risky. In reality, hosting your company’s data and
applications is more secure in our data center than in your
own building. Our secure environment offers you 100% data
confidentiality and security.
Is the information backed up?
Information is backed up daily. Our back up system gives
you the ability to restore specific files if they are lost,
erased, or overwritten accidentally.
Is it reliable?
The hosting environment is extremely reliable, offering
99.999% uptime.
Do I still need an Internet connection?
Yes, it is up to you to provide Internet access and we’ll
handle the rest.
What about software licenses and upgrades?
We’ll work with you to obtain the software licenses
you need to get up and running. As upgrades come available,
we can make them live for your entire organization if you
wish.
Can you host any application?
We host standard Windows-based applications from companies
such as Microsoft, Sage, Intuit, Oracle, and SAP. However,
many other applications may be suitable for hosting.
Will this work from any computer?
Yes, although you will get the best experience from Windows-based
computers with high speed Internet access and Internet Explorer.
What does it cost?
Application hosting with Managed Web Services starts as
low as $50 per person per month. If you were to build an
internal application hosting environment, figuring in all
of your labor, equipment, depreciation, electricity and
other costs, you would pay about $120 per person per month.
This doesn’t even account for the amount of time it
can take to build and maintain.
Is there anything technical I should know?
Our equipment is housed at Level 3 data centers, providing
you with a state-of-the-art and secure environment, redundant
power availability, customer support, and the infrastructure
flexibility you need to meet your specific networking
needs.
